Nothing fancy, just a pleasant place.

The decor in the rooms is lovely, and they're kept clean. Some rooms also have balconies for smokers. Breakfast comes with the stay, and there's a large restaurant with booths in different styles. The staff were polite and friendly. I'd recommend it.

Having a car makes this a good choice: there's private parking and the grounds are well kept. The kebab place on-site was a real help, with a tasty selection cooked in front of you at reasonable prices. The hotel's own restaurant also serves dinner, though its prices are much higher than restaurant prices. Staff were friendly, with no complaints there. The rooms are decent and fairly modern, with white linens and towels, robes, slippers, a hairdryer, and toiletries. Breakfast varied a lot between days. First we got very thin semolina porridge, a soft-boiled egg, stale bread, cheap yogurt, three cookies, an apple, and tea. Coffee cost extra. The next morning was much better and more filling, with scrambled eggs, sausage, butter, and good rice porridge. The location is inconvenient if you need public transit or shops nearby. The station is a 20-minute walk, and the sidewalks aren't paved, so walking there in the evening isn't really possible. If you're not fussy, it's fine for a couple of days. I recommend it.

The bed remains comfortable and doesn't squeak, and breakfast is still a treat, with plenty of food and good variety. The renovations are starting to show wear and the furniture feels tired, though it's still in decent shape. Someone should adjust the plastic windows, because they let in a terrible draft, especially a problem in winter. Hot water is a luxury in Pavlodar hotels, and this place has it.
