Dream Hostel Shymkent

For 2,200 rubles, this is a great place. The hostel is free of unpleasant smells, the toilets and showers are in good order, and there's a kitchen for eating or cooking. The bed linens are crisp and white, and you can wash and iron your clothes. Elvira and Lyubov, the hosts, are helpful and polite. I would ask management to consider selling toiletries.

We were welcomed warmly, and the pool was a hit with the kids, even if it was a bit hot. We stayed July 6th to 8th, 2021, sharing a large six-bed room with our two children. The receptionists Elmira and Olya were polite and helpful, and gave us directions. The air conditioning wasn't working at first, but they fixed it while we were there. We highly recommend the hostel.

We had a really nice stay here with friends. It's very clean, and the price was reasonable at 2,000 tenge / 33 TL per person. There's a kitchen inside where you can make your own meals, and the man there was very polite and helpful. I recommend it.

Clean, new facilities, friendly staff, and the cheapest hostel I found. It's also fairly near the city center, about a 15-minute walk. If you need inexpensive accommodation in Shymkent, this is the one choice!
