Grand Altyn Hotel

The rooms were clean, and the service was great.

It was almost empty when I was there.

We booked a deluxe room for two. The room was fairly large and pleasant, with two mirrors in the room plus one in the bathroom, a hairdryer, and three lighting switches for master, central and night settings. The TV was great, connected to the internet and had popular video services from Netflix to VK videos. I had to get up close to turn it on because I couldn’t reach from bed, but I could use the other controls lying down. Air conditioning worked well, the lobby was pleasant, and the included breakfast had a decent variety. The food was average, but fine if you just need something before going out to run errands. There was also a smoking room on our floor, a big plus, and the price was reasonable. A few things could be better. Reception staff came across as unfriendly, even though they did their job. They gave us extra slippers when asked, and someone was available about 90% of the time. We only got one key card, which was inconvenient for two people. By morning we had run out of toilet paper, with no spare in the room. There were hard-to-clean carpet marks and a burn hole in one chair. The gap under the door was large enough to hear conversations in the hallway, and for people outside to hear you too. That might matter to some, though it wasn’t a deal-breaker for us. Many rooms to the right of the entrance are next to a gym, with loud music from the floor below and noise from morning until late evening.

We stayed here as a family in March 2025. Our room on the 7th floor was clean, cozy and comfortable.
