Apartments Galactika

The owner's husband was a very good man, responsive and attentive. My experience with the rest of City Hotel Apartments was the opposite, and I was extremely disappointed. I expected a clean, comfortable stay at the standard they advertised, but the place was dirty and neglected. There were dirty dishes in the kitchen, and the sofas and chairs had disgusting stains and visible wear, as if they hadn't been cleaned or updated for years. The knives were blunt, the cutlery was scattered around, and there were no wine glasses. The service was poor too. They required prepayment for a late check-in at 5:00 PM, but when I arrived at that time, the room was unreadable. The kitchen drain was clogged, and someone had stuck chewing gum on the countertop. Just disgusting. Before the stay, the hostess had made sarcastic comments in our reservation messages. When I said I planned to check out the next day, the hostess and manager came over in a storm of indignation. They showed no real interest in fixing anything. I got complaints instead of an apology or ideas for making things right, which made it seem like City Hotel didn't care about its reputation or its guests' satisfaction. The hostess also started inventing rules on the spot that we'd never discussed, like no weekend bookings for just one night and no dogs for a one-night stay.

The location makes things easy: it's just behind the "Galaktika" hotel, with places to eat, groceries, barter, entertainment, and the mosque all nearby. We walked everywhere. Parking is free. The rooms have what you need, and I always appreciate finding a fresh, sealed rag by the sink. The people are lovely too, attentive, friendly, and understanding. Last time I was barely able to move and couldn't get out to exchange money until late at night, and they understood. The tap water is the drawback, though there's not much to be done about it and you can buy water close by. I wish the basement windows opened, and the second-floor sofas badly need help. They aren't very comfortable to sleep on.

We were there in August 2022, and the owners were kind and polite. The apartment felt clean and cozy, with a glassed-in balcony. It had a kitchen, a large fridge, jacuzzi, TV, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. The price was excellent, and the location was handy, with shopping centers, shops, a bank, currency exchange, restaurants, and cafes all within walking distance.

Just to clear up the previous review by user Evgeniy Kim: he says himself that he stayed at City Hotel, so his comments aren't about Apartments Galactika and don't apply to it. Please keep that in mind. Apartments Galactika is very popular with guests and well regarded.
