The Riviera Champasak

The view of the mekong is amazing, and the room was beautiful and clean. The public areas were quiet and spotless too. Staff were kind and helped with any questions, and there are free bikes at reception. Breakfast is small but enough, while lunch and dinner were delicious. Thank you for the hospitality.

The sunrise view over the Mekong from the terrace was stunning, and the rooms were spacious, modern, quiet, and spotless, with a huge shower, good towels, and coffee, tea, and creamer. Everything else felt just as good, from the service and pool to the restaurant area and the cleanliness. I really enjoyed breakfast, too. There were plenty of sweet and savory choices, both Eastern and Western. Since it’s a small hotel, I can understand keeping an eye on how much food is prepared and how many dishes are offered. A coffee machine instead of the filtered coffee would be a nice extra, especially since I’ve seen them in more budget hotels. Free bikes are handy, and they offer a fair price for a drive to Pakse. If I get back to southern Laos, I’ll definitely return.

The staff were lovely and ready to help, and there’s a place to park scooters plus a water refill station. The rooms are large, the bathroom is nice, and the Mekong view is great. The pool is a good size for relaxing. Everything else was perfect for me, but breakfast really needs work. It was the one letdown.

I’d happily stay here again. The rooms are huge and lovely, with a nice view over the river, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, especially Tui at reception. You can rent bikes, and if you need anything else, just ask and they can arrange it. The restaurant food and breakfast were solid, though not outstanding. The cappuccino was a bit disappointing and not what I’d expect from a good one.
