Xokxaykham Guesthouse

The owner was so kind, the rooms comfortable, and it’s pretty cheap. I stayed 2 nights and could’ve stayed longer. Don’t miss the restaurant, the sandwich is awesome and everything else was just perfect too. Sala Point of view is close by, 7km away, and a great place for sunset.

We used this as our stop both before and after visiting Kong Lor, and it’s a nice spot, about 10 minutes by motorbike from Limestone peak point of view. The sunset there is lovely, and sunrise is very nice too. Our room was very big and clean for 50000 kip, a very good deal. The staff were nice, the terraces big, with a lovely mountain view. We had a little trouble getting the hot water to work. It’s not very efficient, but should be okay if you’re not too cold. Wifi is only in the restaurant. The food was good, with a large choice, and it’s a comfortable place.

Warm and welcoming, and unbelievably good value for money. It’s the cleanest hotel I found in laos at a guest house price. The restaurant is pretty good too, so don’t miss it if you’re on a budget but still want some comfort.

The staff guy was nice, but really, the price was overestimated: between 80 and 120 000 kips if you beg for it! The owner lies to us about the WiFi, which doesn’t work. Breakfast isn’t included and wasn’t very good. The beds were dirty, with lots of ants. Never go here! Apparently it used to be good.
