The management did their best to make our stay comfortable, happy, and relaxed. The hotel has a fantastic location and a lot of potential, but it needs to do more to cater to Europeans visiting Laos. We wanted more light in the rooms and a hand-held shower, and the rooms themselves need improvement. Breakfast needs work too. Annie and Richard Mead . UK.

I liked the hotel's architecture, and the location was quiet, about a 10-minute ride from downtown. Service was good, though in the evenings there was often nobody who really spoke English. The menu is fairly limited, but dinner was very well cooked the night we stayed in instead of going to town. The drinks list included cocktails, but nobody there could make them. I almost offered to mix them myself!

The pool area was the best part, though even there some areas needed major maintenance. The rooms are a nice size, but the decor is poor and looks like it hasn't been maintained for a long time. Staff were generally good. The food was terrible, especially breakfast. There's no bar other than reception, and the hotel is out of town with no restaurants nearby. Based on earlier reviews, the hotel seems to have gone downhill.

Though the hotel isn't in the city centre, it takes only 10-15 minutes to drive there. Our room was spacious and clean, breakfast was very large for us, and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. The receptionist and driver were attentive, polite, and helpful. They were flexible and tried to meet our needs. The service impressed us, and we definitely enjoyed our stay.

The staff were really accommodating. I asked several times for rides to downtown and back, and they always helped without turning me down. They even served breakfast after the usual hours when I returned around 10am from the 5am monks’ alms-giving ceremony. My only suggestion is about the shower. The water took 4-5 minutes to get hot, and the pressure was weak. Maybe it was just my room, but it could be worth checking for future guests. The hotel is away from downtown, but that didn’t cause me any trouble. I’d recommend staying here, and I’m grateful for the care and service from everyone.
