The old colonial style rooms were nice, and the staff were friendly. There’s a little liquor shop next door. It’s in a perfect spot, right across from the royal palace and an easy walk to the night market. I’d recommend staying here.

The biggest problem for me was the Wi-Fi. It was weak and kept cutting out in the room, and only a little better at reception. When the guesthouse was full, getting a decent connection there was nearly impossible. The manager acknowledged the issue and said they were working on it. Otherwise, it’s a cozy traditional guesthouse that’s kept fairly clean and tidy. The room is simple but functional, and having working AC was great in the intense heat, especially early in the afternoon. Breakfast is big and filling. They take US dollars, and can arrange airport pickups, trips, tours, or laundry for a reasonable fee, as many guesthouses in town do.

It’s a beautiful, comfortable wooden house, and the location makes it easy to visit famous places. The breakfast was awesome and the staff were very friendly. My first night was on the first floor, where there was a noise problem. They warned us ahead of time and arranged for us to move upstairs the next day.

Right in central Luang Prabang, this is a great guesthouse. Our room and bathroom were both spacious and clean, and they made the bed once a day. When you’re hungry, there’s good food cooked by an experienced chef. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
