The shower ran quite cold, which can be a bit bracing on Luang Prabang's colder mornings. We only stayed one night, and the room was pleasant, clean, and quiet, with decent bathroom facilities. There wasn't much of a view from our room. The owners don't speak much English, but we didn't run into any problems. No breakfast options, though there's free coffee outside the rooms. Decent enough, and fairly cheap.

We arrived without a reservation and agreed on a price with the owner for two nights, which we paid for the first night. When we checked out two days later, he asked for extra money, saying the quoted amount had only covered one night. That felt dishonest. If the price had been clear, we would have picked a cheaper hotel.

I can’t speak to the guest house itself, but the terrace is lovely for lunch, with a view over the Mekong. I haven’t stayed at the guest house, though its Mekong-facing terrace is a great lunch spot.
