I was sent here after being told the hotel I had booked was full. I hadn’t chosen this property myself, and being moved between places, as I was told the owner does, left me unsure how reliable the booking was. The room was acceptable, but the place felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel. Reception wasn’t staffed all the time, the entrance was often unattended, and the management and communication seemed improvised. It may suit flexible travelers, but not guests who need predictability, proper hotel standards, or a dependable place to work from.

As of mid Dec 2025, I stayed three nights and found the staff, breakfast, and location great. There were lots of breakfast choices, the WiFi was good, and the clean rooms had balconies, fridges, and kettles. Staff spoke great English and were very helpful arranging trips and onward travel. There’s no river view, but it’s perfectly placed for exploring the best parts of town. Monks pass the hotel around 6am for alms giving, which made for lovely moments. The negative reviews are from over a year ago.

I had a very comfortable, pleasant stay. The place is clean and well maintained, and housekeeping comes daily. The manager is warm, welcoming, and extremely friendly. He also enthusiastically pointed me toward local sights and recommended some great local restaurants. Very convenient location, and I’d highly recommend this homestay.

Perfect location, very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was great for the price, and breakfast came with a nice amount of fresh fruit. Spot on!

September 2025. I’ve stayed here on and off over the last couple of years, for a week at a time. It’s good value if they honor your reservation. Be warned, you might show up to find there’s no room, or that you haven’t got the room you wanted. If you do get a room, it’s worth the price.
