Eden De Vangvieng Hotel

We had mountain views from the room, and the stay was pleasant overall. The hotel is modern, the rooms are lovely, and the staff were efficient and helpful. There are plenty of inexpensive local restaurants nearby, as well as a toll bridge across the river. We picked it for the pool, but heavy rain the night before meant it was out of service during our visit, which was disappointing. Breakfast was an odd mix of Asian and Western food, including chips, though you could order eggs cooked fresh.

The staff deserve five stars. They were really nice and did their best to help, even though their English wasn’t great. The hotel itself is a little dated but clean, and there wasn’t anything in particular to complain about. Three stars feels fair for what you pay, so don’t expect too much.

The location made it easy to walk to lots of places and sights, and there’s a pool for cooling off on hot days. Breakfast was decent too. The service was friendly and helpful, and they gave us good excursion tips and arranged everything. Thanks for a great stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, including when they contacted our tour company to confirm pickup times. We booked the tour ourselves. The hotel is well placed: close enough to walk to the nightlife, but far enough away that noise wasn’t a problem. I’d stay again. Breakfast was free and good, with fruit, fried rice, bread, and eggs on request. The room was clean and comfortable. We struggled a little with the outlets, but eventually worked out how to plug in our US-style two-flat-prong plugs.
