The corridor floor was broken, and we heard odd construction noise during the night. In the bathroom, the shower temperature kept changing on its own, and the room itself was filthy and badly in need of renovation. When we arrived, we were met by a huge cockroach, a lizard, and ants in there. Staff couldn’t sort out anything for us, and when we asked them to book a taxi, they messed up our onward transport.

The room didn’t feel worth the price, and the hotel needs a serious refurbishment. It wasn’t properly cleaned: there was hair on the floor, the sheets were stained, and the towels smelled stale. The mattress was hard, the lighting was very dim at night, and there was no safety box. Breakfast was a letdown too. Everything, including the eggs, arrived cold, there were no hot drinks or proper coffee station, and I couldn’t eat any of the poor-quality options. The staff were friendly, but basic communication was extremely difficult since none spoke English. They asked guests to use Google Translate, and sometimes didn’t try to understand what we needed. That was frustrating and not good hospitality. I hope management sees this and makes the improvements the place clearly needs.

Room 414 had a lovely city view, and the bed and shower were comfortable. The AC worked great, and we slept well despite being right by the road. The hotel is conveniently placed for getting around and only about 7 minutes from the airport. A taxi on the meter cost around 41,000 kip, plus a tip for obvious reasons. We first got room 413, but the lamp didn’t work and the bathroom floor was a little flooded from a leaking bidet. They let us switch, and things were good after that. We also found a huge cockroach, about the size of my thumb, which freaked me out. It’s an older budget hotel, especially by western standards, so that’s part of the experience haha. Breakfast was decent, staff were friendly and most spoke English. There’s no room safe, so we left our passports with staff and all was well. Have a good time, and get out to enjoy the beautiful nature too!

The room was spotless, and for the price we were happy with it. Breakfast was delicious and the location is great. The shower worked really well, though the bathroom could have been cleaner. Wi-Fi was the one snag, slow and patchy.

I only stayed the two nights because I couldn’t afford to move to another hotel. The room had mosquitoes and flies, so I went out and bought insecticide. The hot water was good in the daytime, but only lukewarm in the mornings and evenings. It was incredibly dirty, with stains and hair everywhere. The sheets and towels were stained each time. I asked for fresh sheets, but the replacement wasn’t straight, and I kept quiet to avoid more trouble. The toilet was awful, and the stress affected my bowels and disrupted my routine. I’m leaving a bad review so the business might read it and make improvements.
