Jammee Guesthouse

It's a bit outside town, but the walk is worth it. The girls were so nice and the service was wonderful. Our room was clean and nice, if a bit pink, lol. The hot shower was great, and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Coffee and tea were free all day.

We ended up leaving after the first night, even though we'd booked two. We were exhausted and had already paid, so there was no refund. We've stayed in several guesthouses in Laos for the same price and never run into these problems. I really wouldn't recommend it in case you get put in the same room. When we arrived, the guesthouse was full and they sent us to what they called their second guesthouse nearby. It looked nothing like the booking photos. Our room faced a construction site. They said work would run from 10am to 6pm, but it started at 7:30am and went past 9pm. There were two large cockroaches in the room and no way to keep them out. I know there are lots of bugs in this part of the world, but they could at least have put up mosquito nets around the bed or set out bug traps. There was no wifi in the room at all, only at reception, despite the booking site saying rooms had wifi. I don't usually give one-star reviews, but this was a real disaster. I can't stress how bad the experience was.

The bathroom is in really poor shape, the mosquito net was filthy, and the coffee area needs cleaning. The walk to the town centre is fine, and the price should be around 60,000. When I asked a question, even with a translator, the girls seemed confused and walked away.

I was massively disappointed with my one-night stay. The place wasn't clean, there were loads of ants in the room and on the bed, plus a cockroach in the bathroom. The staff seemed disinterested, and there was no breakfast even though Agoda advertised it as included. For this standard of accommodation, it was overpriced.
