Daosavanh2 Hotel Vientiane

I paid 30 USD for two nights. The room was generally clean, but I killed at least three bugs, so that's a no-go for me. There was no hairdryer or house slippers, even though hotels nearby usually offer those basics. The bathroom was dim and rather small, and breakfast was nonexistent. The two good things were the location, right in front of Sihom good night market, D-mart, and mini big C, and the really friendly staff. I wouldn't stay here again.

The booker paid for a deluxe room, but we got a standard one. There were a lot of problems here, and the staff didn't care about them.

The breakfast was fine and felt homey, though nothing special. Our room had enough space and the toilet was clean enough; the view was ordinary, and English TV channels for tourists would have been a nice improvement. The area felt safe even when I went out around 2 a.m. There's a really good dim sum and noodle place nearby. Ladyboys often hang around the nearby streets, but if you ignore them, everything is okay. A nice hotel to stay at.

The night receptionist was a great help to me. His warm smile is what made me stay there. See you later, Vientiane.
