Manorom Chateau Hotel

I loved the rustic feel and the nice view. The bed was comfy, the aircon strong, and even the toilet was cozy. For about 38 SGD on Agoda, it was good value. 5*

The hotel's location is still the one good thing. I've stayed here before, and it used to be better. Now the place is awful: dirt all over the common areas, even though my room was relatively clean. The internet barely worked, and the staff showed little consideration for guests. From 6 am there was constant shouting and chatting, along with doors slamming.

The location is good, but breakfast isn't included. The room was so small there was barely floor space for two suitcases. Cleaning also lacked attention to detail, both in the bathroom and around the hotel. Some things were broken, though they still worked.

We came with a tour group, and several rooms smelled bad or had lots of brown stains on the curtain. I think the plumbing caused the smell, since so many rooms had it. We didn't want to shower in that water, and the shower door wouldn't even move. Someone else in our group got a room with a rotten floor that could give splinters to anyone walking barefoot. The replacement room clearly hadn't been cleaned. Maybe they changed the sheets, but there were no pillowcases, and it took over two hours for them to bring some. The room door didn't lock properly, and several others in the group had doors that wouldn't lock either. Wouldn't recommend.
