I was there for just one night. The guy at the front desk tried to pull a fast one on me. The room was $81, but he asked for 2.4 million kip. I asked how $81 became 2.4 million when I'd exchanged $100 for 2.1 million, and even at that rate $81 should be about 1.7 million kip, not 2.4 million. He said the hotel's exchange rate was higher, at 25,000 kip to the dollar. But 25,000 times 81 is 2,025,000 kip. Check the exchange rate before you pay, so you don't get ripped off and pay far more. Don't give these money-hungry people in this country more than the listed price.

Cockroaches everywhere. No pest control? For all 13 days, whenever I asked the front desk to break a 100,000 Kip note for room tips, the answer was always no.

The non-smoking room we booked for Saturday night smelled really bad, and staff couldn't move us. Breakfast was over by 9:00 on Sunday morning, with no information given beforehand and no refund for the prepaid breakfast. They wouldn't accept local currency either. Luckily we only booked one night. I don't recommend staying here. It feels like a scam.
