Viryla Boutique Hotel

Read the reviews, honestly, because what I saw in the pictures wasn't accurate. I felt like I'd been catfished. I had booked this as an early birthday present, but when I got to the room, they'd just put the towels on the bed, hahaha. I stayed over an hour because I had to work and find another hotel. It wasn't clean, including the sheets, and I even had to take a picture of the wall. After I clearly explained that this wasn't what I paid for and stayed less than two hours, they still had the nerve to ask me for a good review. Don't fall for it unless they renovate.

Allen at the front counter is the reason for the five stars. He was fantastic, communicated well, and was helpful and engaging. Thanks, Allen. The hotel itself was okay. The bed was great, the first soft one we'd slept on in a week, and the shower had good pressure but only cold water.

The room and public areas were disappointing, and the pictures on OTA don't show their actual condition. For a hotel that's been open about four years, the room and common areas need serious renovation and care to stay competitive. The bathroom wasn't clean, the shower was broken, and its sealant was in poor, unhygienic condition. These problems affected our comfort and sense of value for money. Fortunately, we stayed just one night. It was a last-minute booking, and we could find somewhere else for the same budget.

The staff were friendly and reasonably helpful, but I didn't find the hotel worth it. The pool is tiny, and the place is out of the way by the Mekong River, extremely noisy at night and far from the city center. Breakfast was pathetic. Inside, everything felt old, worn and poorly maintained: discolored, cracked tiles, stains all over, and paint peeling in several places. The curtains were missing hooks; the bathroom looked about 30 years old, and the toilet seat didn't fit properly. There was no bidet, and the shower sealant was old, stained and moldy. Hot water was limited and the pressure weak.
