The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the location worked well for us since it’s so close to Saint Joseph University. Our double room was clean, though quite small. The only issue we ran into was weak Wi-Fi.

I loved every moment of my visit to Lebanon, and De Ville Hotel made it a great stay with its excellent hospitality. The place was clean and well located, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I plan to stay with you again and will recommend it to any friends planning a trip to Lebanon.

The staff were all nice and helpful, but I ran into several problems during a short stay, so I’m giving it two stars. Omer’s review below makes some good points. Water getting everywhere seems to be an issue at 90% of hotels in Lebanon, though. I’m not sure why they all take out the shower doors.

The staff member at reception was rude, and even basic requests seemed like a burden. I’ve been here for 20 days, and after my first two weeks I’d rate this place no higher than three stars. The rooms are much smaller than the photos suggest. The Wi-Fi is extremely slow, so good luck if you plan to work here. Breakfast is below average for a four-star hotel, and the tiny bathrooms get soaked because the showers have no doors. Our first room had weak water pressure, and the hot water took at least seven minutes to heat up. Reception knew about the problem but didn’t move us until I insisted. They sent a technician, but he couldn’t fix it. The air conditioning in that room worked neither for heating nor cooling. We moved to a second room, which had a kettle but no cups or mugs. For three days I asked for a cup and kept being told housekeeping would bring one tomorrow. When I called reception, it took an hour and three follow-up calls to get it. Housekeeping then took it away the next day. Finally, the door lock suddenly stopped working. They said staff could let us in with a master key each time, or we could move again to a smaller room.

The hotel is in a lively part of Beirut, with shops, restaurants, and popular sights close enough to walk to. Downtown is about a 10 minute drive, and despite the busy neighborhood, the hotel felt like a calm place to come back to. My room was spacious and clean, with a really comfortable bed, complimentary bottled water, reliable WiFi, and AC. The welcome was warm, check-in went smoothly, and Rabab, the front desk manager, checked in with us several times to make sure we were comfortable. The staff made the stay easy from the start. I appreciated the mix of modern comfort and Lebanese hospitality, and would happily return.
