The staff were rude and very unprofessional. The room and beach were both unclean, and there was no cleaning service after 5:00. No extra towels were sent, with the claim that I should only get one. I wouldn't recommend it. Read their replies to some other reviews and you'll understand how you'll be treated there.

There’s room here for all kinds of stays, from a birthday or anniversary to a beach tenting day, a day trip, or even a longer visit. I found Le Madina Hotel and Resort to be a magical, peaceful historic spot in Jouneh, full of art, food, creativity, fun, and a real sense of adventure. Mr. Champ, the sweetest dog, is there to greet you, and Queen Lady Lode’s kindness, intelligence, and inspiration are a big part of what makes the place feel so special. I left grateful and impressed. For me, it captures the love, beauty, and creativity I associate with Jouneh and Lebanon.

The food was delicious, and both the bathrooms and the rest of the place were very clean. The workers were respectful too. I’d definitely come back.

The pool wasn’t maintained, and after my husband had an accident and ended up in hospital, nobody offered help, although they knew we were visitors with two young boys. I had to take him to the hospital by myself. We didn’t even get an apology or any kind of compensation. A child was drowning in the pool and the lifeguards didn’t notice. The room was dirty, with a huge broken nail in the restroom. Room service wouldn’t answer, so we had to go to the desk whenever we needed something. We asked for two plastic cups of water and were charged, and the fresh sheets we requested never came. This was the worst stay we’ve ever had. We won’t be back.
