We spent 6 nights here and found a roach in the room. The outlets were open, and the photos are attached. The water pressure was very weak, so the shower was almost just dripping; the water also swung between too hot and cold. It’s a long way from the beach or shops, around 45 walk, so you need a car to get around.

The Friday night street party is only about a 5-minute walk away, and there’s a local bakery and small mini-market on the next road. The area felt safe and the people were very friendly. Thanks for an enjoyable stay. We spent 3 nights at Justinn Apartments from 3rd November. The owner met us there, and the apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay again if we came back to the island. It’s not far from the beach and about a 30-minute walk to Pigeon Island.
Justin is a great host who thinks of everything and is there when you need him. He also shares useful tips about local events. The place is clean and safe, and it’s easy to enjoy yourself there. It’s close to transportation and within walking distance of great bars and local eateries. The people are friendly, and the weather was great.
The locals around the apartment were super nice, and I’d stay here again. The guy who runs the place was fantastic too. When our shower broke on a Saturday night, he answered our call right away and had it fixed the next day. We had all the kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans we needed, plus a big fridge and freezer. The air conditioning in the bedroom worked really well. There was a parking spot, and the place is about a block off the main road, which made getting around easy. The beach was less than a 10-minute walk away. We could also walk to Pigeon Island and Rodney bay in about 30 minutes, and Massy Grocery store was a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute drive.
The easygoing pace and friendly greetings from locals gave this place a real hometown feel. Justin was easy to talk to and came across as an upstanding gentleman. Gros Islet is a handy base, and the price and location are great. Saint Lucia has plenty of entertainment, a famous drive-through volcano, and is known for weddings. Oprah Winfrey approves.
