The on-site staff were helpful and professional, which made the problems with Stephanie, the host, all the more disappointing. There was confusion over our dates, and we were charged for seven days even though we stayed five. Stephanie was dismissive and hard to communicate with instead of trying to sort it out fairly. She didn't seem interested in customer service and struggled with basic communication. We also overlooked some issues with the apartment itself. Better management and clearer communication would have made a real difference.

This feels more like a backpackers hostel than a hotel, and it's very basic. Some rooms have AC and Wi-Fi reaches most areas, but the property needs repairs. Fixtures may be missing or broken, rooms sometimes aren't cleaned, clean towels may not be available, and rooms can be double-booked. It could work for open-minded travelers or groups mainly focused on keeping costs down. Families with young children and people with mobility issues should avoid it.

Really disappointing. The room barely matched the pictures, and the bathrooms and toilets were awful. Wi-Fi only reaches parts of the building. For what it cost, I expected better. Poor quality and poor service, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I left feeling appalled by the staff's behavior and the owners' response. After I asked for the owner's contact details, they offered me a refund and told me to leave immediately. The woman said the owner had directed them to refund me and get rid of me, instead of using the complaint to deal with the room's condition. Staff should be ashamed of how the rooms are kept. This isn't how you conduct business, and you permit what you promote. I was at Stephanie's hotel in Gros islet on October 17th, my birthday. My husband had planned a surprise and needed me out of the house, so he brought me there around 11:30am and left before I got the room. It was filthy: visibly dirty floors, a falling-apart ceiling, and a shattered toilet seat. My stay was short, so I tried to make myself comfortable anyway. At about 5:40, I went to the lobby for Wi-Fi to call my husband about pickup. I told him how dirty the room was and said I'd sent him pictures. About five minutes after I went back upstairs, three staff members came in, two without masks. Aaron spoke for them, confronted me about what I'd told my husband, and demanded to see my phone photos. I refused. He could see the dirt for himself, but seemed to take my comments personally and said he'd cleaned the room. I challenged that: the smudged, filthy floors were obvious, and there wasn't even a proper toilet seat. Aaron told me not to slander the place or share pictures. Another man said it was only my opinion and criticized me for moving the tiny desk, which had revealed more dirt. None of them showed concern or empathy, and they all tried to justify the room. The confrontation felt rude, aggressive, threatening, and unprofessional. I felt unsafe and asked for the owner's details so I could complain. As they left, Aaron kept mouthing off until the woman pushed him along. I told him he lacked customer service and shouldn't speak to people that way. He was cocky and arrogant and had to get the last word. Before the woman left my door, I said I would call my husband and the police, and she asked me not to. I followed her to the front desk to get the owner's information. I overheard the young boy already giving the owner an inaccurate version of what happened. The whole situation was made worse by the woman eavesdropping on a private conversation. Don't waste your time or money on this run-down place.
