Sunset Lane

Laborie felt safe, and people were friendly everywhere. The town has real charm and gave us a feel for local life and St Lucia. The beach was one of the nicest on the island, with sand, palm trees for shade, few tourists, and clean, well-maintained surroundings. Each morning you could buy freshly caught fish or try a freshly cut coconut. We spent a fabulous two weeks at Sunset Lane. Our room had a lovely ocean view and gorgeous sunsets. Frances and her family were wonderful, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great holiday. The large shared terrace and well-equipped kitchen area were handy, and we met interesting guests from all over. We hired a car, though it's not essential since Frances can arrange a driver. Alex was reliable and good at handling some challenging roads, especially at night. Resort or cruise travelers may not find this the right fit, and you should be reasonably fit because there are several steps up to the rooms. For us, it was a great find, excellent value, and highly recommended.

We loved the welcome, the views, the balconies, and how close it was to town, just a six minute walk. There's a lovely little beach in a small working town, and everyone was so friendly. We liked it so much that when we return to St.Lucia, we cancelled a room elsewhere and will stay here instead.

We spent nine days at Sunset Lane and loved watching brown pelicans dive and fish in the bay from the terrace at breakfast. Breakfast wasn't included, but the kitchenette had a fridge, stove, toaster, and microwave. Frances was helpful with suggestions for places to eat and visit. Our room was immaculately clean and had two queen beds, just right for our family of three. At night we fell asleep to waves along the shore and woke to roosters. The location and convenience made the stay special. It's only 15 minutes from the airport, and with a car you can get anywhere on the island, which mattered since we wanted to explore. Parking was available and felt safe. Highly recommend Sunset Lane!

The rooms were just as described, and Sunset Lane is a beautiful, relaxing place in a small town. We had a hiccup when we arrived and couldn't reach anyone through the many phone numbers. Email worked, though, and we got everything sorted. Highly recommend it if you're after a quiet place to unwind.
