Villa Caribbean Dream

Brigitte is a wonderful host who seems to know everyone on the island. She helped us figure out car rental, shopping, and places to go out, and cooked a sumptuous breakfast for us on the main balcony, with its million dollar view. We spent a great week here. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, and the internet fast. I’d highly recommend this spot if you’re looking to relax.

Brigitte made us feel right at home. She was kind, easy to talk to, full of useful island knowledge, and had the BEST recommendations. We loved our comfortable bed and the A/C worked brilliantly. We took her up on breakfast, and it was delicious. She’s a great chef, and her network of contacts and genuine wish to make our trip go smoothly really stood out. We also had some heartfelt conversations. Spectacular stay, thank you Brigitte!!!

After a week of offshore sailing, I spent three nights here and found it a great place to land. The garden is beautiful, and the cottage was spacious and as expected. It was good value and “as advertised,” so I gave it five stars. Brigitte’s breakfast was plentiful and very good. On the first night, she kindly drove me and another guest to a fantastic local BBQ for takeout. Another solo traveller invited me along on her expeditions around the area. Brigitte has good ideas for outings, though I was just as happy chilling out with a book. I could make some of my own meals since the kitchenette had plenty of kitchen tools. When I needed duct tape to patch a bag, she arranged for her neighbour to help. A car would be useful. I’d recommend the place to adventurous people who want to get off the beaten track and aren’t looking for the overpriced, ubiquitous, generic “all inclusive” bar scene.

This place was quiet and very off the beaten path, and the view was breathtaking. Bridgette knows a lot about the island and its people after living there for quite a few years, and she was fun to talk with. She made an amazing breakfast that I’d highly recommend. The beach was about a 10 minute drive away. We needed transportation since it’s a bit outside the main town. Her usual driver wasn’t available, so Bridgette gave us a ride. She also uses her own driver, and they have nice air conditioned vehicles. The studio apartment has some stairs, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. The open air cabana was spacious and had very few stairs.
