The hosts were kind and really caring, and our room was simple and clean. It’s also well placed for getting around: the beach is a 4-5 minute walk, Weligama is about 10 minutes by scooter, and Unawatuna, Mirrisa and other popular spots are roughly a 15-20 minute ride away.

Mallika was such a kind and welcoming host, and the location was both peaceful and convenient. I had an absolutely amazing stay. If you’re around Midigama, I’d highly recommend staying here.

The room was simple but had everything we needed, and breakfast was good. Gem Villa is in a cozy neighborhood near the beach. We had a lovely stay, and Mallika and her husband made a real impression on us. We’d love to visit them again if we return to Midigama, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Malika and her husband made us feel so welcome. Their home in Midigama is on a beautiful street, just two minutes from the ocean, and the garden is stunning, full of plants and coconut trees with plenty of space to relax. We’ll remember Malika’s authentic Sri Lankan breakfasts for a long time, and we’re so grateful for our days there. The room was cute and super clean, with a private bathroom. Two great surf spots are just around the corner, and Malika and her husband do everything they can to make you feel at home. We’ll definitely come back. This place is amazing!

We spent a week here and loved it. The house was super clean, the food was amazing, and the family was lovely. It was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka. If you get the chance to stay, go for it. You won’t regret it!
