The view from the room is hard to find anywhere else, and it’s a great place for a quiet stay. The friendly staff go out of their way to make things wonderful. We recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the busy town and enjoy a green escape with a waterfall view.

We had a lovely stay in this cozy, very clean place, with amazing views and friendly, attentive people. They were always checking if we needed anything. Breakfast was complete and came with stunning scenery. The free tuk-tuk ride to the city center was a great bonus. Highly recommended!

It was relaxing to watch monkeys, birds, and squirrels nearby, and the hosts were very friendly. The hotel is a little outside the city center, but they offer a free tuk tuk ride there. There’s also a staircase up to the train track, and you can hike to the center in 15 minutes. The hotel is still quite new, and some of the surroundings are still being worked on, like the grass. Even so, you can already enjoy the beautiful views from the rooms and pool. We had a wonderful stay at Ella 100 View Cottage and would fully recommend it.

The family are so friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was fantastic, the best I had in Sri Lanka. The pool is lovely, the aircon works well, and the location turns out to be great once you arrive. It’s an easy walk into town along the track and a perfect starting point for an Ella Rock hike. There’s still work to do on the grounds, and the rooms could use a few extras, like a chair. Even so, I think it’s pretty good value. I grew to really like Ella 100 view. If you stay, make sure you have lunch or dinner at Savoury Havens restaurant just up the path.

The tuk tuk ride there is legendary! The view and pool are great, and the breakfast was good too. They still have some finishing work to do, but the place is already great. You can tell these guys know where they’re headed.
