Hotel Sanmark

The staff were the highlight, so friendly and ready to do anything for us. They greeted us with a smile and left water bottles outside our door every day. The room was big, clean, and spacious, and the shower was lovely. There are two pools, including a very big one with nice sun loungers in the sun. It’s right on the beach, near a strip of shops and restaurants. Thank you!

We expected a bit of luxury for once, since we usually stay in budget hotels, and were sorely disappointed. The room itself was lovely, with a big four-poster bed, but the suite we booked was shown with a sea-view balcony and had no balcony of its own. Its door opened into another room, then onto a shared balcony, so our room felt dark and claustrophobic, with no window for fresh air. The bathroom jacuzzi had a big crack and leaked when we tried it; staff sealed it with silicone. The flat-screen TV was gone, leaving only the wall bracket. When we arrived and asked to move to a balcony room, we were told one wasn’t available. They eventually offered another room, but by then we’d unpacked, it was late, and we were too tired to move. They also offered free breakfast, which was good. The waiters and handymen were very helpful and friendly, but management handled the situation quite badly. All in all, very disappointing.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the ocean views from the veranda, with a great sea view. The service was excellent, the location was good, and there are good restaurants within 1 mile. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well maintained, and the lady at the desk was sweet and helpful.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating all week, and always willing to help. Hotel Sanmark has clearly seen better days, but it’s maintained well and kept clean. We had a very pleasant stay.
