The owner, Mr Sameera, kindly took us in and arranged the villa immediately when we had to book idda villa at the very last moment. We’d just had the most awkward, ugly booking experience with another hotel. The villa felt like an exceptional paradise, quiet, relaxing, and very safe for the night. The butler service was welcoming, and the kids had a wonderful time in the pool, garden, and beach. Love this!!!

The villa has four rooms with attached bathrooms, a pool, kitchen area, upstairs library, living area, a fairly large front porch, outdoor bathing areas, and a garden. A high wall surrounds it, so outside disturbances don’t affect you apart from the noise. There’s a train track right outside, and that can be disturbing. A few motor workshops nearby were noisy all day until midnight, which wasn’t good. You can park 3 to 4 vehicles in the garden, but there’s no designated parking. A chef is available and the food is tasty. The villa is comparatively expensive.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway while I was visiting Sri Lankan with my girlfriend from Denmark. The pool was great, the rooms were splendid with colonial architecture, and the staff made some great food for us. The villa is very close to the beach, with nice beach bars and restaurants nearby. I’d definitely recommend it for a villa getaway in Ahangama.

The service really made us feel at home. Ishan and Eranda were friendly and incredibly helpful, arranging everything we needed, from delicious meals to scooter rentals and airport pickup. Idda Villas is beautifully designed, with spacious rooms, a private pool, and a well-kept garden. It’s a short walk to the beach, while still peaceful enough to properly relax. If you want a private, luxurious stay near the beach with great hospitality, this is a good choice. I’ll definitely come back!

One of the best places I’ve visited in Sri Lanka! Idda Villa is peaceful and beautiful near the beach. It’s clean, calm, and well designed, with friendly staff and a relaxing vibe. ❤️❤️
