The Deco House

Our little two-bedroom house with a terrace was so unusual and memorable, and the open-air shower was fun even in the rain. We had a wonderful four-night stay. Tomas, the owner, was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. The inside and outside were beautifully designed, with a cozy, inviting feel, and breakfast had an impressive range of choices. Also, make sure you visit Tomas' gallery in Galle. It’s definitely worth a look!

We first stayed at Deco House two years ago on a friend's recommendation and loved the atmosphere enough to come back on this trip to Sri Lanka. The villa has its own authentic design, and the garden is well kept, with palms, flowers, and sometimes peacocks and monkeys. There’s a big pool, quality sun-beds, and shared spaces where you can relax. Our host Amir was caring and amazing, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. The place is clean overall, though the rooms could use some refreshing and a little renovation to keep their charm. A great choice for couples or families who want to enjoy a holiday and feel at home. Recommended! 🙏🏻

We booked three nights and ended up staying six because we loved it so much. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Ahangama, which suited us perfectly. Amir gave us loads of recommendations for food and things to do, and the loft room was just right for us. The pool area was beautiful, with the sweetest little kitten, recently rescued, patrolling around. We’ll definitely be back next year. Thanks so much for everything!

I spent ten days at The Deco House and loved it. The huge, beautifully landscaped garden surrounds a central pool and dining area that’s great for meeting other guests or just enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. The wifi was strong everywhere. I stayed in ‘the cottage’, which was airy and tastefully decorated with a Scandinavian touch. It had a good bed and a large outdoor bathroom, and sweet, always-smiling Shanti cleaned daily. Sampath was just as pleasant, diligent, and ready to help. There was a kind guard on site all night. Amir, the manager, deserves a special mention for his relaxed, professional manner. The Deco House was an ideal match for me. Thanks, guys!
