There was plenty to keep us busy at Riu Sri Lanka, from poolside activities during the day to evening shows and live music. The entertainment team did a great job, and the staff stayed friendly and attentive across the large resort. The grounds were well cared for, with several pools, restaurants, and entertainment spaces, plus direct access to a long golden beach. Rooms were bright, modern, comfortable, and spotless, with a big bed, stocked minibar, and roomy bathroom. Housekeeping was efficient. Food was a major draw: the buffet changed things up daily with seafood, Sri Lankan specialties, international dishes, and desserts. The reservation-only specialty restaurants each had their own dining experience. It's a lively all-inclusive resort with excellent service. We left with lovely memories and would happily return.

The children especially enjoyed the dedicated kids' pool during our family staycation at RIU Ahungalla, and having food and drinks available around the clock was wonderfully convenient. My family and I were there with my young niece and nephew, and we found the break restful. The food had plenty of variety and was delicious, and the beverages were great. Our room was comfortable and adequate, with a lovely ocean view that made waking up each morning even nicer. We could hear the tides and see the calm sea, while the greenery around the property added to the peaceful feel. Staff were welcoming and ready to help with a smile. It was a lovely short stay, and we'd consider coming back.

The lively entertainment at RIU Ahungalla caters to adults and children, and the warm hospitality made our visit even better. I found the room very clean, comfortable, and carefully maintained, with everything set up for a relaxing holiday. The buffet spread was broad, and the food was fresh and full of flavor. For a better experience, make sure to book a sea view room.

We spent a family weekend at this lovely all-inclusive hotel. There are three pools, though children weren't allowed in the one with the bar. The restaurants served excellent food, and there was a gym and spa for adults only. Guests can use the ping pong, volleyball, and boccia for free. There's direct access to a huge sandy beach and plenty of parking. The entertainment could get a bit noisy at times.

A weekday visit meant the resort wasn't too busy, so my husband and I could properly unwind and enjoy the facilities without the weekend rush. We loved the spa jacuzzi as a quiet place to spend time together. The room was well kept, clean, and comfortable. Food was delicious, fresh, and attractively served, and there were lots of drink choices. Staff were always smiling, friendly, and helpful, which made us feel especially welcome. RIU Ahungalla also has plenty of entertainment programs for both adults and kids. It was a relaxing getaway with lovely memories. Next time we'd like to bring our parents along.
