The rooms are a bit small, though there are large common areas if you want somewhere to sit. There aren’t many restaurants nearby, and the house is so poorly lit in the evenings that it feels a bit depressing. Better lighting in both the rooms and common areas is really needed. If they improved that, I’d give this place four stars. The location is excellent if you’re after peace and quiet, just a few steps from the beach, with a turtle hatchery over the wall.

The owner stopped by and served us old arrack free of charge. He was very friendly and helpful, the kind of thing that happens only in Sri Lanka. It’s a relaxing place in a top location, with activities like a turtle farm, fishing and seaside activities. The food was excellent too.
