We were travelling with our 1-year-old, and the whole team was so kind and attentive to him. He happily wandered around the hotel while the staff took good care of him, which meant a lot to us as parents. As pure vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised by how well they catered to us. The freshly prepared vegetarian food was delicious and clearly made with care. Staff also gave us helpful suggestions for nearby places to visit and good shopping spots, making it easy and enjoyable to explore. The hotel was clean, peaceful and beautifully maintained, with excellent indoor and outdoor pools. We took some really lovely pictures around the property. From our arrival, the staff at The Palace by Ocean were warm and helpful. They even decorated our room for our anniversary, a thoughtful surprise that made our stay especially memorable. We loved our time here and would highly recommend it for a peaceful family getaway with such great service.

The food deserves a mention of its own. We tried dinner once and immediately realized the kitchen serves some of the best food you can get in Sri Lanka. I'm very used to Mediterranean cuisine, so that says a lot. The hotel is a true hidden gem, and I'd recommend it to friends for the experience the staff create as much as for the place itself. Keshan is one of the nicest people we met in all of Sri Lanka: warm, attentive and always ready to help with anything we needed. His hospitality set the tone from the start. Service throughout felt like a sincere, human kind of 5-star care, not something forced or scripted. Every detail was handled thoughtfully, and the way the area was explained to us made exploring easy and enjoyable. The whole stay felt special. Thanks, Keshan and team!

For the peace and quiet I wanted, a 10 min. tuk tuk ride to the next very good beach club seemed reasonable. The area isn't overcrowded, the staff are super friendly and courteous, and the food was very good. There are two pools, one i side and one outside. The one thing I didn't like much was that the windows face inwards. I couldn't really open my blinds because people walking past the room could see inside. I spent a lot of time outdoors and at the beach, though, so it wasn't a big issue.

We booked a room but fortunately cancelled ahead of time. The hotel might be fine, but it sits right in front of the main road. Even if the pool is nice, the street noise would be there all the time.

The hotel, rooms and food were amazing, and the staff were warm, friendly and so helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. It's a little way from the beach, but I'd definitely stay again. Amazing!
