They messaged to say they were giving us a free cancellation because they had overlooked our booking. That left us scrambling, with barely any hotels available and the remaining options overpriced, and it felt like our whole trip was being ruined. When I tried to reach them, they said they weren’t free and asked me to call back in an hour. Then they blocked me. A few hours later, one of them called repeatedly and shouted at me for not answering, then said booking.com hadn’t informed them and it was my fault before hanging up. I wouldn’t trust them with a booking. As a woman, I’m also concerned about safety, and I ask Indian travelers not to get tricked by this hotel.

We only found out after reaching the location that they had cancelled our booking for a seven-day stay, March 6-13, without telling us. They even refused to open the door. Absolutely unprofessional.

A lovely spot for relaxing, with a gorgeous garden full of birds and other animals. The family is so warm. We only wish we could have stayed longer ❤️🌞

The owner said our seven-day booking, made five days earlier, had been cancelled because of overbooking when we arrived, but he wouldn’t open the gates. Neither he nor Agoda had contacted us about it. I had to find another hotel nearby and pay twice the rate.

The owners were so kind and helped us with everything. It was a gift to meet them, thank you Dinuka and Beauty. We felt at home right away in this peaceful, family-run place. The rooms sit around a beautiful garden with birds to watch morning and evening. Everything was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, breakfast was great, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. Shops, an ATM, and Ahungalla Beach are 200m away, and beautiful Galbokka Beach is a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride.
