Heritance Ahungalla

Being able to relax by the pool, stroll on the beach, and enjoy the quiet setting made our mother-daughter trip special. We spent five nights and six days at Heritance Ahungalla, and felt welcome and at ease from arrival. The rooms were roomy, the grounds were well kept, and the ocean views were lovely. As two women traveling together, we also felt safe throughout the property and comfortable moving around at any time. The staff were respectful and professional, and quick to help with a smile. Meals had plenty of variety and were excellent. Thanks to the whole Heritance Ahungalla team for a getaway we’ll remember. We’d gladly return, and would recommend it to families, women traveling alone, or anyone after a calm beachfront stay.

We had a relaxing honeymoon at Heritance Ahungalla, and the stay felt worth the price. The room was clean and roomy, and housekeeping had it looking lovely. We appreciated the congratulatory cake and fruit platter, too. The buffet was tasty, though we'd have liked a broader selection. Staff welcomed us warmly, and Mr. Shawyantha personally showed us around. Before we arrived, the reservations team was very responsive and helpful. Shan Abeywickrama gave us especially good support. We'd recommend the hotel to couples and families.

The beach was quiet and clean, with room for long walks or just resting beneath the palms, and the resort never seemed crowded despite its size. At Heritance Ahungalla, the striking open architecture gives you Indian Ocean views from nearly everywhere. The infinity pool looks out to sea, especially beautiful around sunset. Our room was clean and spacious, with a modern tropical style and a balcony over the ocean. Waking to the waves was memorable, and housekeeping kept everything in order. Meals covered Sri Lankan and international food, with fresh fruit, hoppers, pastries, and made-to-order omelets at breakfast. The specialty restaurants each offered a distinct meal and needed reservations. Restaurant staff were attentive, and the welcome from the team was genuinely warm. Everything was professionally managed. It was a highlight of our Sri Lanka trip, and we'd recommend it to couples and families wanting a relaxing seaside break.
