Mrs. Tushara made us feel welcome from the start, and the mountain view from our room was beautiful. The room was spotless and tidy, too. We stayed at Tamarind Tree Inn in Kandy and loved it. I'd definitely recommend it if you're after somewhere peaceful and genuine.

The rooms at Tamarind Tree Inn had everything I needed and were clean and comfortable. I loved the quiet feel of the place, with greenery all around, tucked away from Kandy's busy center. Tushara was especially kind and attentive, and made me feel right at home. It was one of the highlights of my time in Kandy, and a great choice if you want a cozy stay with a personal touch.

We found the room very dirty, and the balcony was dirty too. It wasn't a comfortable place for us to stay, and the price didn't seem reasonable.

The sheets were really dirty, and the hotel smelled awful. The staff were rude, and the owner showed no hospitality. He racially abused guests, threatened them, and refused basic amenities. When I tried to cancel, he wouldn't return the money. He was drunk and seemed about to get physical with guests, even when families were there. After what happened, I looked at other reviews and felt most of the positive ones were fake, written by people connected to the hotel. The negative reviews seemed to be describing the same experience. I had the worst time here, and wouldn't recommend booking if you're hoping for a good holiday.

The owner put in a lot of effort to make our stay satisfying. We also had a very good breakfast and enjoyed the large, covered veranda and its great view of Kandy and the hills. The place was neat and clean, right in central Kandy.
