Hiruni, the Hotel Manager, made a special difference with her thoughtful care, professionalism, and leadership. Chef Chamath Dananjaya’s meals were delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. We’re grateful to them and to the whole team for their kindness, support, and excellent service. From the moment we arrived at Villa Samudra, the warm welcome made us feel at home. The hospitality stayed just as good throughout our visit, and we left with wonderful memories. Highly recommended, and we hope to return soon.

Chef Chamath Dananjaya deserves a special mention for Sri Lankan food that was outstanding in both taste and presentation. Sanduni, Vimukthi, and the rest of the team were also wonderful, with great service and hospitality. We had two amazing nights at Samudra Villa, Ambalangoda. It’s a beautiful spot with direct access to the beach and a pool right beside the ocean. Our room was clean, roomy, and very comfortable. A peaceful, memorable getaway, highly recommended.

The building seems to be an old walawwa-style house, beautifully preserved and adapted as Samudra Villa, giving the place a lot of charm. There are separate dining areas and plenty of seating around the property, which worked well for our group of 10 adults and two children. We stayed one night last weekend and found the location even better in person than in the Google photos. The manager and cook were especially professional, flexible, and supportive, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. We felt welcome and well looked after from arrival. Our rooms were spacious, clean, organized, and comfortable. The bathrooms were well maintained and came with shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, a small touch we appreciated. The food was good and nicely prepared. Prices seemed a little high for the portion sizes, though it didn’t get in the way of enjoying our stay. The villa has a great atmosphere, comfortable accommodation, and excellent service. We hope to come back, and wish the team success in maintaining and improving the facilities and service. Highly recommended.

The kids had a blast, while the adults could actually unwind, and we’ll definitely be back. We stayed last January with two families, and it was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka. The villa is a spacious gem with direct beach access and a clear pool. Manager Hiruni and Chef Chamat’s team took great care of us. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and the whole property was neat and tidy.

Hiruni, the Hotel Manager, was caring and professional, and Chef Chamath Dananjaya made delicious, well-prepared meals. Thanks to the whole team for being so friendly and providing excellent service. We had a lovely stay, highly recommend it, and hope to return.
