Senasuma Homestay

Senasuma is only a two-minute walk from Ella’s main street, which is a big plus. We had a great stay, and the host was very friendly and ready to help whenever we needed anything.

The main downside was the hostel across the way. One night, a group of young people partied on its open rooftop and made so much noise it was impossible to sleep. We told the owner, who kindly went to speak with them, and we really appreciated that. Otherwise, it’s a cozy, pleasant place in a good spot, a few minutes from the main street and near the start of the Ella Rock hike. The family who owns it were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was among the best we had, and the lady clearly cared about how it was presented. Our room had a fan, small fridge, kettle, hairdryer, and a clean mosquito net around the bed. We also had a balcony with chairs and a beautiful view. We liked it!

I felt right at home here. The air was fresh, everything was very clean, and we had hot water, cute balconies, a lovely view, and tasty breakfasts. The owners were helpful, and the location was convenient. Great value for the price. I hope I can come back!

We booked one night, then decided to stay two more. The family were kind and helpful, and the breakfast was outstanding. They even packed breakfast for us when we had to catch the 6:40 train, which was such a treat. Coconut milkrice and honey is our favourite.
