Our family of four, with two kids, stayed at Bird Villa for three nights. We loved the warm welcome and the lovely family who manages the beautiful compound. The garden is full of greenery, with different birds singing all the time. It felt peaceful and away from the bustle, yet close to the beach, restaurants, shops, and other activities. Galle Fort and Hikkaduwa beach weren't too far either. A perfect place for us. Book without hesitation, you won't regret it.

When we finally got to see the room after arriving late at night, there were no bedsheets or towels, and the ones they gave us were dirty. The bathroom heater also didn't work. There was no proper lighting or guidance to help us find our way, and the owner asked a lot of questions that felt unnecessary. A very bad experience, and not worth the stay.

It's a quiet village area with not much going on nearby, so it's a good choice if you want to rest. The beach, with just a few locals and no tourists, is right behind the property, and there's local food on the main street. The surroundings are full of nature, and both the small and large rental houses are great, with spacious rooms and clean bathrooms and kitchens. The owner is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
