Ceylon Resort

The peaceful surroundings and beautiful property made this a lovely place to relax. Roshan can arrange safaris and other activities, and there are hardly any restaurants nearby, so we were glad to have the option of the evening buffet dinner for an extra fee. Breakfast was included, and the food was delicious. Roshan and his family worked hard to make sure we had a great stay, and it really felt like guests came first. We had a fantastic time.

The full day safari was all arranged for us, with breakfast and lunch in the jeep. We were lucky to see the big three, leopard, bear and elephant, and had what they said would be an experienced driver. He was the best driver we could have hoped for. Afterward, we had a delicious Sri Lankan buffet. Everyone was so nice, we were welcomed with fresh juice, and they even upgraded us to the most beautiful room. The whole experience was amazing. I truly recommend these people if you want the full Sri Lankan Safari Experience.

During my month travelling around Sri Lanka, Ceylon Resort was my favourite place to stay. It was a perfect end to the trip, and I'm grateful I booked both my stay and safari there. The rooftop terrace had an amazing view of the area and sunset, and the resort, room and location were all perfect. The food was phenomenal, and the owner's wife is a brilliant cook. The owner and his family were so warm and welcoming, always making sure I was having the best stay possible. He also arranged my safari around the national park, which was amazing, and a taxi to the airport. I'd recommend Ceylon Resort to anyone, and I'll definitely return.

The safari was well organized, though we were a bit unlucky and didn't see many animals on our full day out. That's wildlife, and it comes down to luck. We had a kind spotter and a good driver. Roshan was a great host: he let us check in late and have dinner, and upgraded our double room to a family room because it was free, without charging extra. We'd never had hospitality like that without additional cost. He seems genuinely focused on giving guests the best experience, and came across as honest and kind. The staff were just as lovely and made sure we were comfortable, and the chef served us real Sri Lankan cuisine. The property is stunning, and the room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows were too soft for my taste. That's my only downside, so for me it was a 10/10 stay.
