The greenery and laid-back atmosphere are what set this place apart from similar spots in Anuradhapura. We stayed two nights, and the big, clean rooms felt homey thanks to the kind staff. Our kids enjoyed playing outside, and we had a great outdoor barbecue one evening. Really good stay, and I hope to come back.

Indika Lake Resort sits in a village, about a kilometer from the main road and 6KM from the sacred city Anuradhapura, beside Kalaththawa lake. The open dining area and three cottages, including one for a family, sit among green grass by the water. It’s a charming, blissfully quiet setting. Our cottage was clean and comfortable, with neatly arranged beds, AC, Free Wi-Fi, and satellite TV. The service was excellent, and the caretaker took very good care of us. We loved the food, the surroundings, and the stay. Really enjoyable and peaceful.

Thank you Rasika and the others at the resort for your constant hospitality and loyalty, and Indika for creating this wonderful place. The staff were supportive and well mannered, and the food we had there was superb. Indika lake resort is a perfect destination for a visit to Anuradhapura. Its tranquil, serene setting gave us a chance to relax and enjoy our time.
