Nilketha Villa Eco Hotel

The quiet setting was a real plus after we’d been visiting historical sites, and the clean, well-kept swimming pool made the stay more enjoyable. We had a pleasant family holiday at Nilketha Villa Eco Resort in Anuradhapura, with welcoming staff and good service from the moment we arrived. The food was tasty and reasonably priced compared with other hotels nearby. Our room wasn't perfect, but it was comfortable and clean enough for what we paid, so it felt like good value. Families can also cook their own meals, and the resort offers “Kiri Ahara Pujawa” free of charge, a thoughtful touch for people visiting Anuradhapura for religious purposes. It's a good affordable option for families or groups looking for somewhere peaceful. I’d recommend it. Rating: 4/5.

The pool was a lovely place to cool off after a tiring day, and the staff were friendly and went the extra mile to meet our needs. The views of the ancient places were breathtaking. We also enjoyed the delicious food, with lots of Sri Lankan choices and flavors from different spices. Such a lovely experience. Thanks to all the staff! 🙏

It felt like a haunted house, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The rooms weren't clean, the air conditioning didn't work, and the surroundings were unclean. The swimming pool was dirty too. It seemed like all they wanted was money. When we called the owner, he spoke politely and sent hotel photos, but the place didn't look like the photos he had sent. Don't waste your time or money here.

We booked two triple rooms for seven adults and were given just one towel per room. The pool was filthy, with bugs in it, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The bedrooms were unpleasant, and exposed power cables behind the headboards made it feel like there was a risk of electrocution while lying in bed. About ten minutes after we checked in, the power went off, and the rooms were too hot to stay in. The towel rails were broken, along with other bathroom fixtures, and one of our room's toilets smelled awful. I've attached photos to show this is a genuine review. I don't recommend staying here. I hope management looks into these problems and takes action.
