The paddy fields and quiet setting made a lovely first impression, with open skies and a gentle breeze all around. My wife and I came from Virginia, USA, and are already hoping to return. Gamini and his wife Dulani were kind, attentive hosts who made us feel at home, and the place was excellent value for the comfort and service. Our room was spacious and spotless, with the care and design of a high-end boutique stay. Meals were another highlight: the kitchen team served a generous range of freshly prepared Sri Lankan food, full of flavor and beautifully presented. A memorable, peaceful stay, and easy to recommend.

Niwahana Holiday Residence is kept to a really high standard, and it was very comfortable to stay there. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They also have EV charging. I’d happily recommend it.

That family dinner is one of the things I’ll remember most, with lovely food and a calm breeze in the evening. The staff made us feel welcome, and Priyantha deserves a special thanks for all the helpful information about Anuradhapura and for making us feel at home. Niwahana Holiday Residence, Anuradhapura was such a peaceful little palace, and I can hardly describe how wonderful our vacation felt there. The food was delicious, too. I’ll definitely come back, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Anuradhapura.

The location worked well for me, with public transport nearby and Anuradhapura ancient city within 2km. I also liked the food: lots of variety, very tasty, and good quality. The rates were affordable, but the service and comfort felt above what I expected for a budget hotel. My room had plenty of space and the necessary amenities, and it was spotless and fresh-smelling. The shared areas were tidy too. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly, and the whole hotel was clean and well maintained. Good value for the price, and I’d stay again.
