There’s a balcony for relaxing in the calm, green, quiet surroundings. The room and area around it were clean, though the furniture could be improved. There’s no food or tea and coffee available. The owner seemed nice.

The rooms were okay and the staff nice, but overall it was solid rather than good. The location wasn’t great: there’s nothing to see or eat near the guesthouse, so you have to drive into the city. Mosquitoes were in our room all the time because parts of the windows couldn’t be closed. The beds were more like 180/190 cm than 200 cm, so I struggled to sleep with the mosquito net. The owner was friendly, but a bit intrusive and irritating.

Saman & Vindya made us feel so welcome at Thuru sisila resort, and the stay gave us real "sisila". It’s a safe, peaceful place in a lovely green setting, a little away from busy Anuradhapura town and about a 10-minute drive to Pooja nagaraya. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a calm place to stay. All the best, Saman & Vindya.
