We spent six nights at this little gem and left wishing we could stay longer. Even the small details feel thought through: each bungalow has a hose for sandy feet, a broom for the porch, plenty of towels, and a floor squeegee in the bathroom. We missed having that squeegee everywhere else in Sri Lanka, since it kept the floor from staying wet for days. The spacious terrace has a lovely lounging spot and ceiling fan, and they light a fragrant incense stick outside each bungalow in the morning and evening. Catherine and Michel were warm and easy to chat with, and always had helpful tips. The staff were attentive and did a fantastic job. We loved the dream of a pool, which was great any time of day, and the large shared fridge for drinks or food; there’s a beer shop and small supermarket not far away. Little Oasis Restaurant is on site and run independently by a local couple. We tried several nearby restaurants but kept coming back there. We’ve traveled a lot, and haven’t stayed anywhere so carefully arranged and maintained. We can’t recommend it enough and hope to return.

Everything was top notch, and the staff were attentive. I really appreciated that they support local people by letting them run their own restaurant for resort guests. The place is beautifully cared for and worth every penny. Thanks, Catherine.

We stayed three nights in June 2025, and the rooms, location, and service all met our expectations. It was very clean, and the staff were kind and super friendly. The restaurant has a broad menu, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food was tasty at a good price. Even though it’s run externally, its staff were very friendly too.

We loved the meals at Babar Point. Jonsan, the restaurant owner, and his wife prepared everything fresh and served it with care. The flavors were authentic and surprisingly delicious, with local and international options. Michel and Catrine welcomed us warmly and were always there with a smile and genuine hospitality. You can tell they run the hotel with heart and soul. The setting is beautiful, an oasis of tranquility by the beach and surrounded by nature. It was an absolute dream of a stay. Babar Point is an easy recommendation for peaceful surroundings, lovely nature, warm service, and delicious food. We’ll be back.

The rooms were clean and really comfortable, and it was such a peaceful place to stay. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, and even brought us yoga mats. The outdoor space and pool are beautiful. A little oasis, even better than the pictures 🌺
