Bay Villas Balapitiya

For a private, wholesome break away from the city, we'd recommend Bay Villas. The staff were attentive and the food was good. It also seems like a great place to visit with family.

We especially enjoyed how close the private beach was, just a few steps away, and the quiet, safe setting worked well with our young children. We had a lovely family stay in a magical spot, with a nice pool, spacious and comfortable surroundings, architecturally designed villas, delicious food, and exceptional service. We tried several activities nearby, and the Madu River boat trip was a favorite. Highly recommend, and we can't wait to return.

We felt very welcome throughout our stay, and the team made us feel like we were in a five-star luxury hotel. The Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner we asked to try were outstanding, the best food we ate in Sri Lanka. Our two-story room was huge, with a wonderful view of the ocean and beach framed by coconut trees. The hotel sits right on a beautiful, quiet, secluded sandy beach with blue water and lots of coconut and palm trees. A wonderful, peaceful place to relax in the Balapitiya/Bentota area.

A lovely place to relax for a few days, with an ocean view. The food was good, and the staff were very friendly and tried to help with everything. The only downside is that it's quite far from other restaurants and bars. Otherwise, highly recommend.
