The private beach gave us the feeling of having our own island, with no strangers walking by. We were there in March, when the sea was clear and the waves weren’t high. The staff said December and January are usually the calmest months for swimming. We had a great time in this cozy, quiet spot away from the city bustle. The rooms are spacious and have private terraces. Even the garden-view room was nice and worked well for kids aged 3-5, who could play with the small stones in the garden. The pool is more for relaxing with children than for diving or swimming laps. Ajith, Nipun, Shirantha, and the rest of the team were friendly and attentive to our requests. We enjoyed it enough that we’ll definitely return for a third stay. A real tropical paradise!

We had such a relaxing, memorable weekend at Sundara with the kids. The property is beautiful, well cared for, and comfortable, and the food was delicious. The staff were so warm and welcoming. Mr. Nalin was especially kind and hospitable, taking care of every request and doing extra to make sure we were comfortable. We also appreciated how promptly Mr. Ihsaan helped us get a good room deal. His quick reply made the booking process easy and helped us decide sooner. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. We’ll be back and would happily recommend the place.

After enjoying Sundara last year, we’ve just come back for another stay. The large upstairs room was very comfortable, with a well-equipped bathroom. The food was excellent and the service was first-class throughout. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel, with a cared-for garden, a lovely pool, and a glorious sea view over a long stretch of golden sand. Highly recommended.

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. We stayed for 7 nights and ate at the hotel every evening, which is unusual for us. It’s a fabulous colonial hotel in a superb spot, with one of the most beautiful beaches about 30 yards from our room. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but that’s part of why the beach and views are so good. They have only 7 rooms, so book early. You won’t regret it.

The colonial architecture and interiors are beautiful, and the hotel sits among lovely greenery beside a beautiful beach. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s somewhat secluded from the other hotels, which makes it a great place to unwind. We’ll be back!
