Vista Jaga Bay Resort

The beach is beautiful, and the food was fair plus, so it might suit backpackers. It wasn't for us. We cancelled our two remaining nights and moved to another hotel. We'd arrived with our tour, which had been fantastic up to that point. The hotel needs attention from top to bottom, and we all avoided the pool because it was very murky. Given the rest of the hotel, we didn't want to risk using it.

The restaurant food was tasty and not expensive, and breakfast was amazing. We had sea view rooms in Jaga bay, with comfortable beds and quiet nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best school is just around the corner. We'll definitely come back.

The pool water was black and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. You can see it as soon as you walk into the hotel. The reception office was unpleasant too, with dogs sleeping on the sofas. The manager, staff, and dogs all live together there. The place was dirty, noisy, and had bed bugs. It's so bad I can barely describe it. Don't waste a moment here.

A chilled place and good value, though it's a bit old. The showers have an issue with water pressure, so if you expect a hot shower with good pressure, this might not suit you. Otherwise, all good, and breakfast was amazing.
