We meant to stay for two days and ended up staying ten. The courtyard became our favorite spot to unwind with friends, especially outside watching monkeys and birds in the trees. Windu was such a kind, welcoming host, and we felt in good hands from day one. Our room was fantastic, roomy and comfortable, with AC and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. It had a table, chair, and drying rack, which made it lovely for a quiet end to the day. There’s also a kitchen upstairs that guests can use. We loved our time here and would happily come back. Thanks for everything!

Paying by card was easy, and we liked having the little outdoor kitchen and its fridge available. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful too. We had a wonderful stay at Wimal Wood and would love to return.

Vidhu was interested in our plans and always keen to get to know his guests. He welcomed us with tea, upgraded our room, helped with laundry, and let us rent his electric tuktuk, which gave us independence. His tips for food, sightseeing, and surfing were really nice. The room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony and private bath.

The train tracks are close to the guest house, and at first I worried the noise would keep me awake. In the end, the trains never woke me. The rooms were comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, and the showers were in good order. The host family were incredibly kind and ready to help with any request. The place deserves more credit. Thanks for a great stay and such outstanding kindness.

We felt very well looked after here. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and they cooked us an excellent Sri Lankan curry one night. It was a fantastic stay at the guesthouse, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re in Weligama.
