We checked out the same day. It could work if being very close to the beach and paying as little as possible are your main priorities, but don't book here if you care about basic comfort, tidiness, and being able to find staff.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned very well, though we had to wait for them to be ready. The rooms are cheap, and the beach is easy to reach. Just avoid room 4: its washroom has two windows facing a staircase, so people using the stairs can see you naked, especially at night. There is literally no lock on the bathroom door, just a hole.

The food was delicious, and dinner was so much fun. The man running the restaurant was incredibly kind and went out of his way to make everything feel perfect. He even let us play our own playlist. We need more people like him in Sri Lanka. Thanks for everything, highly recommend!

I didn't find the room especially clean. The fan was broken, though the A/C worked well. There was no water when I first got to the room, but they fixed it after I told them. Staff were hard to find, but pretty friendly when around. They also let me stay 20 minutes past check-out when I'd lost track of time, which was nice.

The wooden cabin was outside and very reasonably priced. I stayed there for 12 nights, and we had a great time. The staff were friendly and helped whenever we needed something. There was a nice atmosphere and a good shared place to hang out, just across the beach road.
