Beni Beach Resort is small and simple, and may work if you only need a basic room at a reasonable price. I wouldn't choose it if you're new to this kind of accommodation or want more comfort. Only one room has its own bathroom, so everyone else shares one. There were no extra sheets or towels.
The owner is friendly, and the beach is just a few steps away, with a surprisingly clean, calm shore and a nice sunrise. I don't think it's ideal for swimming, though. The location is good, and it's a nice place just to sleep, even if the AC didn't work. I also wish the bathrooms were a little bigger.
The atmosphere is cool and very nice, and there’s a swimming pool with an hourly package. No alcohol is sold here, but you can bring your own from outside. The rooms at this place in kallady Batticaloa are neat and clean, and room service is available.
This was the worst stay ever. While my female friend and I were in the garden communal area, five young men associated with the accommodation kept staring at us and asking for cigarettes. We ended up retreating to a room that was way too hot. The owner wanted 1500 rupee for the AC remote. While I was naked in the ensuite bathroom, some of the men opened its window. The very old night guard didn't speak English and couldn't help. It's the first time I've experienced this in Sri Lanka, and I'm furious that two women can be harassed without anyone facing consequences.
Beni Beach Resort is too good, friend. Free WiFi is included, and there is free private parking on site. The property also has a shared kitchen.
