The local food was a highlight, with fresh, flavorful Sri Lankan dishes. I stayed two days at Grace - The Joyful Rest in Batticaloa, and it was a relaxing break, with clean, spacious rooms and a peaceful feel. The location was convenient, and the staff were friendly. If you're after a restful stay with good local food, I'd recommend it.

Close to Kalladi Bridge and the lagoon, this is a convenient spot in Batticaloa where families or groups of friends can have their own space.

The staff were warm, attentive, and quick to help, and the food had plenty of tasty choices, especially the fresh seafood. I found the calm atmosphere really welcoming and relaxing. Hotel East Lagoon looks out over the lagoon, with lovely views and comfortable, clean, well-kept rooms. It would suit a quiet getaway or a leisure trip. Highly recommended for a visit to Batticaloa, and I hope to return.
